Customer Scrutiny Panel Recruitment 2026

Join our Customer Scrutiny Panel

  • We are recruiting!

  • We’re looking for a new member to join our Customer Scrutiny Panel, and we'd love for you to get involved!

The Panel is an independent group of Moat customers who look closely at how we’re performing, share their experiences and challenge us to make our services better.

It’s a great opportunity to have your voice heard, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to the services you and other Moat customers receive.

Applications close at midnight on Sunday 25 October.

About the role

Role: Scrutiny Panel Member
Renumeration: £2,000 per year

As a Panel Member, you’ll work with other customers and Moat colleagues to review services and suggest ways to make them better.

You’ll:

  • Take part in meetings, training and service reviews throughout the year.
  • Ask questions and share your views and experiences.
  • Work alongside other customers and Moat colleagues.
  • Recommend ways we can improve our services.

You do not need previous scrutiny or committee experience – we’ll give you all the training and support you need.

We welcome applications from Moat customers from every background and community, and we’d particularly love to hear from customers living in general needs housing, to help us bring an even wider range of voices to the Panel.

Who can apply?

  • You can apply if you:

    • Are aged 18 or over
    • Live in a Moat home and pay rent or service charges
    • Don’t already have someone in your household on the Panel.
  • You won’t be able to apply if you:

    • Work for Moat, are a board member, or a partner.
    • Are currently in breach of your tenancy or lease agreement.

On average, you should be able to commit around 20 hours a month. Sometimes a little more time may be needed, depending on what the Panel is working on.
