Dealing with pests

We will treat any pest control issues in the communal areas of your building. If you rent a home from us and have pest issues within your home, we’ll work with you to find a solution. If you're a shared owner or leaseholder, in most cases, you will be responsible for managing pests within your home.

In the first instance, please contact us and we can discuss the issue.

If you rent your home

If you’ve got a pest issue in your home or in a communal area, please get in touch with us and we’ll help you sort it.

The way we deal with pests depends on what they are and where they’re found. Where we’re responsible, we’ll investigate the issue, arrange treatment, and help stop it coming back. In some cases, costs may apply.

We can help with:

    • Cockroaches, fleas, bed bugs.
    • Mice and rats.
    • Silverfish and spiders (including cobweb removal in shared areas).
    • Wasps and hornets.
    • Foxes, rabbits and birds (nesting rules apply).
    • Bees, where safe relocation is needed.
    • For badgers or bats (protected species), you’ll need to contact a wildlife specialist directly.

For shared owners and leaseholders

You’ll usually be responsible for pests inside your home, but it depends on the situation:

  • If the pest is affecting other homes, we’ll deal with it.
  • If it’s coming from another property or a shared area, we’ll deal with it.
  • If it’s only inside your home and not affecting others, it’s your responsibility.

If you’re not sure what applies, just contact us - we’re happy to help and explain your options.
