No time for a long-term commitment? Not a problem! Join our Customer Advocates team and complete surveys, review policies, and participate in workshops whenever it suits you. You could join our Editorial Review team and help make our communications crystal clear. Or maybe you’re keen to have your say on our repairs service and want to be part of our repairs procurement sounding board.
Resident involvement
How to get involved
Whether you have a few minutes to spare for a quick survey or want to take on a more regular commitment, there’s something for everyone.

As an advocate you can contribute as much or as little time as you like, either online or in person. After each task, you'll receive feedback on your input. We'll also reimburse your travel expenses and enter you into a quarterly prize draw for gift cards. Plus, you'll gain new skills, experiences, and meet new people.

The Customer Scrutiny Panel is an independent group of Moat customers who look closely at how we’re performing and challenge us to do better. They bring real-life experience and honest feedback to the heart of our decision-making.
-
Their focus is to support Moat's commitment to continuous improvement, enhancing the delivery of great services, and driving up customer satisfaction across all services, by putting the customer voice and experience at the heart of decision-making.
-
Our Repairs Forum is a vital platform where customer voices drive real change and hold us accountable to you. Chaired by Moat resident Lorraine Ash, our forum meetings take place every three months, bringing customers together with Moat staff, and our interim repairs provider, Mears.
-
Our forum members provided crucial feedback on our older repairs service with MSPS. Their valuable input led directly to our decision to end our repairs contract with MSPS and begin an interim partnership with Mears.
Create your own community
Fancy starting your own residents’ association? We’re here to support you every step of the way. A residents’ association is a fantastic way to have a stronger voice on the issues that matter most to your community, as well as organise social activities.

Making it easy for you to get involved
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get involved. We often cover travel, childcare and carers expenses, offer digital options to participate, and provide training support when needed. We’re always looking for new ways to work with you, so let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions.
