Safeguarding

If you’re worried about your own, or someone else’s safety, we can help.

  • We’re committed to keeping our customers, colleagues, and communities safe from harm and free from abuse and neglect. We’ll work in partnership with other organisations such as local authorities, health and mental health services and the police to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults and children.

How to report a safeguarding concern

  • If you or a neighbour is in immediate danger, please call the emergency services on 999. In a non-emergency, you can speak confidentially to a police officer by calling 101.

If you are (or think you might be) experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect, or worried that another Moat customer might be, please report your concerns to an agency with statutory safeguarding responsibilities such as:

    • Your local authority safeguarding team via www.gov.uk/find-local-council.
    • The police by calling 999 (emergency) or 101 (non-emergency).
    • NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or Childline on 0800 1111 for child safety concerns.
    • Hourglass on 0808 808 8141 for older person safety concerns.
