We’ll soon have more affordable homes coming to Kent and Essex, after we exchanged contracts on two new developments with Bellway Homes and Weston Homes.

New homes in Kent

In Rainham, Kent we’re working with Medway Council and Bellway Homes to provide 17 new affordable homes - 10 for social rent, helping those in the highest level of housing need in the area, and seven for shared ownership. These homes at Moor Street will be a mix of one- and two-bedroom maisonettes and two- and three-bedroom houses.

In terms of sustainability, every home will feature:

  • Electric vehicle charging points for sustainable transport
  • Air source heat pumps, and
  • PV solar panels to provide energy efficiency and lower heating bills for our customers.

The homes are already under construction and are due to be available for new customers between summer 2026 and spring 2027.

New homes in Essex

And in Brentwood, Essex, we’re working with Weston Homes to provide 10 new affordable rented homes. Brentwood Central is in the centre of town and has a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Each home will have energy efficient air source heat pumps and panel heaters to ensure our customers have lower heating bills.

These homes will be available for new customers in November meaning they can enjoy their new homes in time for Christmas!
