Moat's Environmental Champions attend their first litter pick

On Thursday 30 January, members of Moat’s internal Environmental Champions group spent their lunch breaks litter picking along the outer banks of the River Thames. With a view of the Dartford bridge behind them, the team completed a four-kilometre round trip starting from our office at Mariner House.

The Environmental Champions group consists of colleagues from across the business who collectively brainstorm ideas and take action to promote the importance of environmental protection. In one of their recent meetings, a litter pick was suggested as a way of keeping our neighbourhoods clean and safe.

Our champions were supported by one of our grounds maintenance partners, Pinnacle, who kindly donated equipment for the clean-up including bin bag holders, gloves, and metal litter pickers.

The Environmental Champions are looking at many other projects that colleagues can join to become more environmentally conscious, including more litter picks, focussing on customer residential areas.
