Important reminder if you use Universal Credit to pay your rent

You should have now received a letter from us confirming your new rent from April 2025. If you use Universal Credit to pay your rent, you'll see these payments rise from April onwards. Please remember to follow these steps to ensure your payments are updated:

• Keep your rent confirmation letter somewhere safe - you'll need it in April.
• Wait until you are sent a to-do in April called 'Confirm your housing costs'.
• Charged monthly? You must declare that your housing costs changed on 1 April 2025.
• Charged weekly? You must declare that your housing costs changed on 7 April 2025.
• Use the information in your letter to complete the to-do before the due date to avoid problems with your payments.

You must only use the 'Confirm your housing costs' to-do to report these changes. Do not contact Universal Credit to report them any other way.
