Providing festive support to those in need
We’re proud to be supporting the Trussell Trust as our Charity of the Year from November 2025.
We work to open doors to better lives for our customers, and we love to support organisations in our communities who do the same. That’s why we launched our ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative in 2019, running everything from bake sales to a pet calendar competition to raise money for causes close to our hearts.
This year, we’re concentrating all our efforts on making the greatest impact possible for The Trussell Trust. The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity and community of food banks that works to end hunger. They run over 1,400 food banks – many within the communities we serve – and campaign for a future where everybody has enough money for the essentials. We’re so excited to play a small part in making it happen!
Over the next year, we’ll be raising money to help The Trussell Trust continue their incredible work. We’ll run fundraising events and challenges, alongside food drives and volunteer days, giving back in as many ways as we can.
The Giving Tree
On 1 December, in the reception of our Dartford office, we put up the ‘Giving Tree’ – a large, decorated Christmas tree. We provided opportunities for our colleagues and Moat as a business to donate essential items to the Trussell Trust.
Teams across Moat chose a bauble hanging from the tree which was labelled with an essential item, such as a toothbrush, soup or deodorant. Each member of that team then purchased that item and placed it under the tree.
The Giving Tree was a huge success, with over 200 items donated and delivered to the Trussell Trust on 19 December, allowing us to bring a bit of help and festive cheer to those in our communities who need it.
