Moat to deliver more affordable homes in the Maidstone area!

We’ll soon be building 68 affordable homes in Lenham, as we recently purchased land at Old Ham Lane.  The development will go towards meeting the local need for affordable homes in the Maidstone borough.

The new homes will be built for us by Countryside and once complete they’ll provide 68 homes - 49 for rent and 19 for shared ownership, which will house 281 customers. The homes will consist of one- and two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom houses.

One of our key priorities is to reduce our environmental impact and build sustainably, so these homes will be delivered using Fabric First principles. This means that specific building materials are selected to ensure the homes are as energy efficient as possible and reduce carbon emissions. All the homes will be heated using air source heat pumps and have an electric vehicle charging point, meaning they will be some of our most sustainable homes.

We expect to start on site in September 2024 and we look forward to welcoming people into their new homes in late 2026.
