Contractors announced for Moat’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund retrofit works in Kent

After kicking off the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund project in Essex and London, we’re pleased to have appointed Saving Energy, Ecolution and The Window Company to deliver energy efficiency improvement works to customers’ homes in Kent.

The £6 million government funding is from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) and will be spent on improving the energy efficiency of 613 customers’ homes across London, Essex, and Kent. We’ve already started the project in the London and Essex regions and we’re pleased to announce the Saving Energy, Ecolution, and The Window Company will be working together to deliver a range of improvements to 124 of our customers’ homes.

The works that are due to take place under the SHDF project will help reduce our customers’ energy usage and positively impact energy bills, improve energy efficiency, and help make homes more comfortable.

We’re proud to invest in our homes for the future generations, reducing our carbon footprint, and working towards our ultimate goal of ensuring our homes have an EPC rating of D or above by the end of March 2026.

We’ve already started contacting customers and conducting initial surveys, and we look forward to seeing the works beginning later this year.
