Customers, community organisations and local services came together at Pollards Hill on Tuesday 23 June for a day of action and conversation to support customers living in the local area and understand what’s most important to them.
We were joined by various local partners who listened to our customers’ experiences and concerns to build on the services they provide. Councillors Martin Whelton and Joan Henry attended to hear directly from our customers, alongside colleagues from:
With multiple stalls set up on Donnelly Green, local services and agencies gathered customer feedback, shared information on their services, and discussed customers’ experiences and priorities for their community. Customers were supported with information and advice on:
Hundreds of conversations took place throughout the day that will help shape future partnership work in the area. All the feedback gathered will directly inform our ongoing plans for the neighbourhood, joint working with Merton Council, and services that support Pollards Hill customers.
Chris Simmons, our Head of Neighbourhoods (London and Sussex) said: “Our Community Partnership Day has allowed Moat, our customers and our partners to come together to talk about what we’re doing - and what still needs to be done - to make Pollards Hill an even better place to live. Thank you to every customer and partner who joined us to share their experiences and have these important conversations. It’s clear that we all care deeply about creating a safe, pleasant, thriving Pollards Hill, and we’ll continue to work together to achieve this.”
Calvin Eyeson, Serious Violence Strategic Priority Lead at Safer Merton, commented: “Merton Council is pleased to be one of the local partners coming together to engage directly with residents and listen to their experiences. This will help us better understand the issues that matter most to the Pollards Hill community and provide an opportunity for residents to learn about local services”
