We’ve completed our year of fundraising for ellenor, our Charity of the Year. We reached a staggering total of £15,677, which will go towards providing fundamental hospice care and support to families facing terminal illness in Kent.
We raised funds through a series of events and activities, with staff also volunteering the equivalent of over £4,000 worth of hours. Moat elected Ellenor as our first ever Charity of the Year following a company-wide vote. We took part in a series of events, ranging from ‘curry-oke’ and dress-up days to cake sales. Although in-person events had to take a back seat due to the pandemic, this didn’t stop us grabbing our dabbers and putting on virtual events like Bingo.
The charity relies heavily on donations to continue to provide their services, which includes in-house care, end-of-life care, outreach work, a day centre, holistic therapies, and much more – for patients and their families alike. In 2020, this became more important than ever and we are so pleased to have raised money for such a worthy cause.
