If you live in Merton and are interested in setting up your own business or are wondering what it involves, why not go along to our free Enterprise Week taking place at Pollards Hill, Monday 10 - Friday 14 September?
The week-long event, in partnership with United Living, will offer 13 workshops where you will be able to learn everything from CV writing to business planning, GDPR to skills and training, health and safety to B2B networking, funding to branding, social media tips and much, much more!
A Dragons Den style event will also be taking place on Wednesday 12 September, where a selection of 18 to 30 year olds who pre-submitted their business plans will be asked to present their idea to a panel of judges, with the winner receiving £2,000 funding to kick-start their business.
Our Director of Strategic Asset Investment, Marian Burke, said: “We hope our free Enterprise Week gives residents a real insight into what it takes to get a business up and running and inspires them to follow their dreams.”
Sharon Heslop, Community Development Officer, United Living said: “United Living are delighted to be involved with enterprise week as it’s a great opportunity for local residents to get involved with developing Pollards Hill as a local business hub.”
