We’re proud to be supporting World Mental Health Day (Wednesday 10 October).
Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. In England, one in six people report experience a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. The overall number of people with mental health issues has not changed much in recent years but worries can make it harder for people to cope.
At Moat we take pride in helping both our customers and colleagues who need a little extra support. We currently own over 300 supported housing schemes, helping customers with mental health issues, serious learning difficulties, physical difficulties, refuges and homeless hostel to enable individuals to live an independent life for longer. We also run activities and train members of staff to become Mental Health First Aiders.
Meet our Mental Health First Aiders
Next month they are running a number of activities and workshops for colleagues at our head office to raise awareness of mental health and highlight the support they can offer.
