Finding a home

There are two ways that we can assist you to buy a shared ownership home in the South East of England.

• Shared ownership offers you a chance to purchase a share of a property, while paying a subsidised rent on the remainder. You must be a first time buyer with an annual household income of less than £80,000.
  
  
• Equity loans are available to first time buyers as well as home owners looking to move. 

We offer a number of rental options depending on your need and personal circumstances. 

• Social rent is a scheme for people on low incomes who are in housing need. 
• Affordable rent is a scheme that means homes will remain more affordable than renting privately – with rents no more than 80% of the market rent value.
• Discounted rent offers a range of existing homes to rent at reduced rates. You may have the opportunity to purchase the property at a later date.

We pride ourselves in providing independent living homes that meet the needs of active older people over the age of 55 years. 

We offer three types of home:

• Bungalows
• One and two bedroom homes
• Independent living schemes.

If you're a secure or assured tenancy holder and want to move to a larger or smaller home, or to a different area, it's possible to do a mutual exchange with another council or housing association tenant.

When you mutually exchange, you swap your tenancy with someone and take on all conditions of their existing tenancy.
