Once you join us
We have a very well developed induction programme for all new staff which includes training, work shadowing and on-the-job coaching. it's designed to give you the information and skills you need to help you settle into your new job quickly and efficiently.
Please be aware that during your first couple of months with us you may need to go to other locations (than your normal workplace) and may also need to work different hours/days (than your normal pattern). We'll always try to be flexible with these arrangements and give you as much notice as we can.
There are 4 core induction training courses that you'll need to attend, ideally in your first month at Moat:
- Moat Induction & Business Awareness, 1 day, Mariner House, Dartford
- Health & Safety, 1/2 day, Mariner House, Dartford
- Equal Opportunities, 1/2 day, Mariner House, Dartford
- IT Induction, 1/2 day, IT Training centre, Mariner House, Dartford
- (Part-time staff are usually given time off in lieu if attending training takes them over their normal hours.)
You will also spend some time work shadowing our customer service department (and other departments as necessary). The length and content of these sessions will depend on the type of job you're joining us to do.
Once your start date at Moat has been confirmed, we'll automatically book you onto the next available set of courses and work shadowing sessions and then we'll contact you with all the details so that you can make any necessary personal arrangements.
