Invited for interview?
You’ve been shortlisted and invited for an interview. Great!
An interview is a two way process – a chance for us to see if you’re right for the job and for you to see if it’s right for you.
We will do our best to describe the job to you honestly and answer any questions you may have.
Here are some suggestions that may help you prepare:
- Have a look at this site to find out anything about Moat relevant to the job
- Make sure you are familiar with the job description and know what we are looking for
- Think about all the things you have done in your life which have increased those skills and knowledge that we are looking for. We will want to talk about the experiences you have had that show how you do things and how much you know. Think of incidents and examples that can demonstrate your achievements and perhaps even some occasions when things didn’t go so well and what you learned from them.
- Be prepared to tell us what you are looking for from the job and what you want out of it. Be prepared to be honest about what you like and what you don’t.
- There will always be some aspects that you want to know more about. Think of questions that you might want to ask at your interview.
Be sure to bring with you :-
- Evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK.
- This might be your passport or birth certificate (if it has your parents names on as well) or correspondence with the Immigration and Nationality Directorate of the Home Office. Proof of your NI number will also be useful, but will not be sufficient by itself.
- Contrary to popular belief, a driving licence is NOT sufficient proof of the right to work in the UK. We will take a copy of your evidence at the interview and this will save time if you are offered a job.
Confirmation of your reference details.
Job offers are made conditional upon receipt prior to start date of satisfactory references. If we are sure that we have these details we can write for references as soon as possible and speed up the process.
As usual, of course, make sure you know when and where to go and who to ask for. Good luck!
