Estate inspections ignore

Moat's Sheltered and Supported Housing Teams carry out inspections of all our properties every six months.

The purpose of this visit is to:

  • Identify any repairs required to the communal areas of the scheme or estate
  • Identify any resident's garden, which is either unkempt or covered in litter or rubbish
  • Identify the use of commercial vehicles or cars that are not taxed or roadworthy, which make it difficult for neighbours to park their cars
  • Identify any issues with fly tipping and dumped rubbish.

Join us

Estate inspections help to identify any issues with your scheme or estate, not to inspect the interior of individual properties.

Residents are welcome to join us on inspections because you can give us valuable information about issues and how they affect the quality of life in your neighbourhood.

After each inspection, your Neighbourhood Officer will provide you with information summarising the inspection, any subsequent actions taken and updates from previous inspections.
