MRF is the strategic residents group that has been established to:
• Promote the views of residents at a senior level within Moat
• Influence key strategic decisions
• Help co-ordinate an effective resident training programme
• Receive monitoring reports on key service areas and suggest ways to improve the service
• Receive reports from the Moat Property Services Group (MPSG), the Policy, Procedure and Strategy Working Group (PPSWG) and the residents’ associations
• Actively promote resident involvement within Moat.
MRF members
The members of MRF are from a range of different geographic areas. Up to five members from each of the residents' associations (SARA, MERA and LGRA) are able to join, as well as one home owner and a resident of a one of Moat's supported housing properties.
To ensure residents' voices are heard, MRF representatives can also participate in the Housing and Customer Services Committee (a sub-committee of the Board). Senior Moat staff members attend the meetings, including the Chief Executive (when requested), the Executive Director: Housing and Customer Service and various department directors who are responsible for delivering housing services.
Meetings are held at Moat’s central office, Mariner House, and are supported by the Head of Resident Involvement and the Customer Engagement Team.
