Annual gas safety checks

On average around 50 people die from carbon monoxide poisoning each year in the UK. This is due to faulty gas appliances and together we can prevent this with a gas safety inspection ensuring you and your family are safe.

Moat employs  CORGI (Council of Registered Gas Installers) registered contractors to check and service any gas appliances that Moat have installed. They will also carry out a visual inspection on all your own appliances.

As part of the service they will check the pipe work for leaks and check all appliances have sufficient ventilation. The check takes approximately 40 minutes and will make sure that you can continue using your appliances safely.

When the inspection is complete a copy of the gas safety record will be posted to you within 5 days, please keep this for your records and for proof your appliances are safe to use.

Our contractor will arrange a convenient appointment with you, please ensure you co operate with access arrangements.

It is essential that you give our contractors access to your home to carry out the check. If you do not allow us access to your home, we may have to apply to the court for an injunction.
