Tenant Services Authority
Regulatory framework, discussion paper
The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) is the regulator for all social housing. It replaced the Housing Corporation on 1 December 2008. Their goal is to raise the standard of services for tenants.
As a result of discussion with resident representatives, Moat have arranged a TSA workshop to take place on 5 August 2009 with elected residents.
If you would like to take part please contact Sandra Ward by the 30 July 2009 at sandra.ward@moat.co.uk or on 0845 359 6219. The information obtained from this workshop will be fed into a formal reply to the TSA from the Moat Residents Forum.
The workshop will provide feedback to develop a new TSA regulatory framework. This framework will cover housing associations and local authority housing services and will provide the TSA and social landlords with guidance on what we should be aiming to achieve. It will identify key areas on which the services will be measured to see how they are improving. The TSA are consulting on the framework with everyone involved in social housing, but are particularly interested in the views of residents.
Moat Residents Forum also welcomes comments from residents not attending the workshop, to form part of this response. Comments should be sent to the Forum via Sandra Ward. The deadline for getting a response back to the TSA is the 8 September 2009.
