Moat staff are happy to make home visits to all Sheltered and Supported residents

Sheltered and Supported Housing offers support with the aim of maintaining your tenancy (where applicable), increasing your independence and enabling you to live a healthy and enjoyable life.

As an organisation we have been providing homes and support for people with diverse housing needs since 1991.

Supported Housing

With years of experience we apply a huge level of skills to our services which include:

  • Housing schemes for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health problems.
  • Extra care housing for older people with additional support needs.
  • Floating support to help existing tenants maintain their tenancies.
  • Short term accommodation and specialist support for single homeless people.
  • Refuges and support for women and their children fleeing domestic violence.

Our Housing Support Services Teams provide a professional service, often working closely with specialist agencies to improve the quality of support available to residents in their homes.

Providing support

We provide support to all of our Sheltered and Supported residents

Sheltered Housing - homes to rent

Most of us want to stay in our own home and be independent for as long as we can. However, as time goes by the stairs might become difficult to manage, a large house expensive to heat and maintain, or the garden hard to look after. If you think a move might be right for you, then you may want to consider Sheltered Housing.

This is usually a group of flats or bungalows designed for older people to live independently but linked to an alarm system in case of emergency. Most schemes have a support co-coordinator who is responsible for the day to day running of the scheme and who can help to organise any extra support that residents might need.
