My home ownership options
We offer a variety of home ownership options for first time buyers. Most of these are known as HomeBuy, a government funded initiative that helps first time buyers get a foot on the property ladder. In London, this initiative is called FIRST STEPS.
We also work with private developers to offer open market new homes to people who are first time buyers.
We also have a selection of options available exclusively to Moat's rented residents.

Social HomeBuy
We do not offer Social HomeBuy to Moat tenants wishing to buy the homes they are currently renting. If you wish to own your own home, you should check your lease as you may qualify to apply for Right to Buy or Right to Acquire, two government funded schemes to help people who are tenants to buy their homes. Alternatively, you should consider HomeBuy options - people who are social tenants are given top priority to buy a home through shared ownership or equity loan HomeBuy options.
