Useful information for residents with an equity loan
Once you have purchased your home with the assistance of an equity loan from Moat, you may wish to make some improvements or alterations.
Some types of work require Moat's permission. Our
home improvements leaflet
contains information regarding obtaining Moat's consent and registering the improvements so that they can be taken into consideration should you decide to redeem your loan.
Redemption of your equity loan
If you are selling your home or wish to redeem your equity loan with Moat, the charge placed on your property will need to be removed. Our
redemption of loan leaflet
contains the information required to enable you to repay your loan. An
application form
is also available to download, or alternatively you can contact us on 0845 600 1006 to request a redemption pack.
Your home is at risk if you do not keep up rent and mortgage repayments or payments on other loans secured on it.
Please note the value of properties can go down as well as up.
