Invited for interview?ignore

You’ve been short listed and invited for an interview. Great!

An interview is a two way process – a chance for us to see if you are right for the job and for you to see if it is right for you.

We will do our best to describe the job to you honestly and answer any questions you may have.

Here are some suggestions that may help you prepare:

  • Have a look at this site to find out anything about Moat relevant to the job.
  • Make sure you are familiar with the job description and know what we are looking for.
  • Think about all the things you have done in your life which have increased the skills and knowledge we are looking for. We will want to talk about your experiences which show how you do things and how much you know. Think of examples that demonstrate your achievements and perhaps even some occasions when things did not go so well and what you learned from them.
  • Be prepared to tell us what you are looking for from the job and what you want out of it and also be honest about what you like and what you do not like.
  • There will always be some aspects that you want to know more about. Think of questions that you might want to ask at your interview.

 Be sure to bring:

  • Evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK. This might be your passport or birth certificate (if it has your parents names on as well) or correspondence with the Immigration and Nationality Directorate of the Home Office. Proof of your national insurance number will also be useful, but will not be sufficient by itself. Contrary to popular belief, a driving licence is NOT sufficient proof of the right to work in the UK. We will take a copy of your evidence at the interview and this will save time if you are offered the job.
  • Confirmation of your reference details. We will only contact your referees once you have been offered the job

As usual, of course, make sure you know when and where to go and who to ask for. Good luck!
